DoubleFeature Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026

DoubleFeature is designed as a local-first movie and TV discovery app. Most personal app data, including your profile name, lists, ratings, taste preferences, streaming-service choices and backup data, is stored locally on your device.

Optional analytics

Firebase Analytics is disabled unless you enable Anonymous usage analytics. If enabled, DoubleFeature may collect app interactions, screen/feature usage and device/app identifiers used by Firebase to provide analytics. DoubleFeature does not intentionally include your profile name in analytics event parameters.

Optional crash reporting

Firebase Crashlytics is disabled unless you enable Crash & error reports. If enabled, crash logs, diagnostics and device/app information may be sent to Firebase to help investigate errors.

Movie, TV and streaming data

DoubleFeature sends content and search requests to The Movie Database (TMDB) to retrieve movie, TV and streaming-provider metadata. Streaming availability information is supplied through TMDB's partnership with JustWatch.

Backups

Backup and restore are user-controlled. Backup files are created locally and saved or shared using Android system pickers. DoubleFeature does not operate a central backup server.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, DoubleFeature can send local reminders such as new-season alerts for followed TV shows and optional backup reminders.

Contact

Before publishing this policy, replace this paragraph with the developer support email and public contact details used in Google Play Console.

Data deletion

DoubleFeature does not currently require a user account. Local data can be cleared from within the app or by clearing/uninstalling the app. User-created portable backups remain under the user's control.
